With so many cleaning products out on the market, how do you decide what to use? Do you use the bright bottle with the catchy name? Do you pick scent first? Or do you use what you grew up using? Let's talk about our favorite way to clean a stainless steel sink.

Over at Alessia's Cleaning Company we're committed to getting the best clean possible to bring peace to your home, while still doing our part and being eco friendly. Part of that is buying products with minimal packaging.
One of our favorite all purpose cleaners is Pinesol. We like to stick to the original scent. We like to pair it with The Pink Stuff to help lift some of the stubborn calcium and hard water build up.
Next we will talk about the steps we take to clean the stainless steel sink.
Step #1 - Microfiber Cloth
Using a dry microfiber cloth, wipe the sink free of all crumbs or dust. Starting from the bottom wiping up word to remove from sink. Take drain catchers and move them to one side of the sink.
Tip #2 - Make it personal
Make your Pinesol solution. In a spray bottle mix ⅛ cup of Pine-Sol® in ½ gallon of water.
Step #3 - Soak
Take The Pink Stuff paste and apply to the dark spots of build-up on your sink. The paste should be rubbed in lightly to these spots to extended its coverage. A little of this stuff goes a long way.
Next take your Pinesol Solution and lightly spray your faucet and faucet handles, this will help with the white calcium buildup on the handles.
Total soak time: 10 minutes.
"I never knew my sink would look brand new again, we were talking about replacing it." - Keri from Calabasas
Step #4 - Wiping
Now for the fun stuff. Take your microfiber cloth and fold it twice to give you an optimal cleaning surface. Apply a small amount of water to the sink and start to scrub. Starting from the top and working your way down to the bottom. And from left to right, working in such a way will help save time by not having to go over spots multiple times.
Tip #4 - Rise and Dry
Rinse off the remaining cleaner off of the sink and down into the drain. Water should now start to look clear inside the sink and be cleaner free.
Flip over the cloth and use a clean dry side. You will start to wipe dry to remove any excess water. This will give it its shine.
*Bonus tip*
Add a little full strength Pinesole down your drain for a great smelling kitchen.
Cleaning your kitchen doesn't have to be a hassle or a huge event. With the right cleaning solutions, knowledge and tools, you can get it done in no time. By keeping up with regular cleaning, it will make it even faster!
